Mrs. Elizabeth Eason, age 84, passed away early Thursday at her home in Lexington. Mrs. Eason was born April 26, 1940 in Madison County to the late Floyd and Vernie Davis Jackson. She was a factory worker, working at Brown Shoe and later on retiring from Johnson Controls. She was a life-long member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and was a loving momma and grandmother. She enjoyed playing cards and watching U. T. Lady Vols Basketball.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Mr. Ronnie Eason; her son, Kevin Eason (Sheree), two daughters, Kathy Coleman (Roger) and Kayla Coffman (Jeff); one brother, Glenn Jackson (Sonya), two sisters, Rachel Williams and Ruby Hamrick; seven grandchildren, Preslee, Peyton, Paxton, Bethany, Nicole, David, and Jessica; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, James, Ray, Cecil, and Howard Jackson and two sisters, Pearlie Watson and Helen Cox.
Funeral services are scheduled for 4 PM, Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Independence Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington on Friday 4 – 8 PM and at Poplar Springs Baptist Church on Saturday, 12 PM – 4 PM.
