Elizabeth Doyle Marcum, 90, of Bolivar, departed this life Sunday morning, November 21, 2021 at Christian Care Center in Bolivar.
The wife of Edward Lee Marcum, Jr., who survives, she was a homemaker. She was born December 16, 1930, in Bolivar, daughter of the late John Hall Doyle and Iva Sisco Doyle, and lived her whole life here. She married Mr. Marcum on January 24, 1948, raising their family and enjoying life together. She was an avid reader and liked quilting and cross stitching, but she received her greatest pleasure from being around her family, whom she dearly loved. Mrs. Marcum was a member of Dixie Hills Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.
In addition to her husband, survivors include two daughters, Sandra Marcum Umberger (Dude) and Karen Marcum Childress, both of Bolivar; a son, Keith Marcum (Gail) of Bolivar; a sister, Linda Doyle Barnes (Dwain) of Cedar Grove; a brother, Billy Forest Doyle of Bolivar; 5 grandchildren, Kristopher Marcum, Kayla Kuroda (Derrick), Hallee Childress, Kara Grace Marcum and Natalie Childress; and one great grandchild, Kale Marcum. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister Lillie Bernice Doyle Baker Ray; two brothers, Jasper Hall Doyle and Golden Doyle; and a granddaughter, Ashley Childress.
