Elizabeth D. Posey “Libby” – Obituary

Elizabeth D. Posey “Libby,” 70, of Priceville, passed away Friday Nov. 18, 2016 at her home. After a long battle with Dementia, she left this world to be with the Lord and her parents. She was born Sept. 29, 1946. Libby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to all she came to know. Through all the trials and tribulations life brought Libby, she always showed the kindness and love that we all grew to love her for. She was a dedicated dental hygienist for many years in Decatur working for Dr. Kirby and lastly Dr. Richard Bedsole. She had a passion for her profession and loved her patients as if they were members of her family.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Posey; sons, Jamie Posey, Larry Posey and Chase Click; sisters, Marguerite Southall (husband Harold) and Paulette Guthrie (husband Paul); grandson, Chandler Sanders; granddaughter, Brittany Arelleno; great-grandchildren, Jadyen and Jace Jacob.

A visitation will be held Monday, Nov. 21, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home, Decatur. There will be a graveside service on Nov. 22, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham with Herb Williamson officiating.
