Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Eliza Ruth Weddington Robertson, age 89, of Winchester, TN. Mrs. Robertson passed from this life on September 7, 2021 at her home. She graduated from Franklin County High School in 1950 with honors. She retired from TVA where she worked as the Belfont Nuclear Plant in Alabama, retiring in 1988. In her retirement years, she was a very active member of Owl Hollow Church of Christ. She loved to travel and often took her grandchildren on trips to other cities. She had a very kind and giving nature and was described as a person that would give the shirt off her back to help someone else. Mrs. Robertson is preceded in death by her mother, Hattie Ruth Whaley Weddington and her father, Matthew Weddington. Also preceding her in death is her husband, Lawrence Ray “Robbie” Robertson; sons, Raymond and Clifford Robertson; sisters, Florence Clayton and Mary Owen; brothers, Matthew, Charles and Cecil Weddington; great-grandson, Hunter Atchley. She leaves to cherish her memory and mourn her passing, her daughters, Sonja (Michael McPherson) Sutton of Winchester and Rhonda (Brian) Helton of Scottsboro, AL; son, Gary (Loretta) Robertson of Estill Springs; brothers, Greg (Lorrie) Weddington and James Weddington, both of McMinnville; grandchildren, Jillian Arnold, Leia Milligan, April Smith, Monty Robertson, Gary Robertson, Chad Robertson, Cory Robertson, and Christopher Robertson. The family will receive friends at Watson-North Funeral Home Thursday September 9, 2021 between the hours of 1 and 7 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Bro. Walter Rayburn of the Owl Hollow Church of Christ officiating. A private interment will be at a later time.
