Eliel Golan Hurst age 91 of Athens, passed away Friday, January 13, 2017 at Athens Rehab and Senior Care. Mr. Hurst was born December 27, 1925 in Laurel Hill, FL to William Hurst and Minnie Miller Hurst.
Services will be Saturday, January 14, 2017 2:00 p.m., at New Life Assembly with Rev. Jason Parnell, Rev. D.L. Roberson and Tim Anderson officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Preceded in death by his wife, Iris Christine Hurst.
Survived by one son, David Hurst and wife, Pam of Athens; three granddaughters, Suzanne LeCroix and husband, Shane of Athens, Samantha Klan and Bethena Bynum; one great-granddaughter, Olivia Hurst; one brother, Noel U. Hurst and wife, Lucille of Tallahassee, FL.
