Eleanor Rebecca “Becky” Jackson of Ethridge age 84 passed away on December 27, 2023. She was born on June 5, 1939 in Gastonia, North Carolina. She was a Christian and retired from AT&T in Atlanta, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her father, Sherman Byrum, her mother, Pearl B. Byrum, one brother, Bob Byrum, two sisters, Blanche Beckworth and Helen Martin, and one nephew, Ronald Martin.
She is survived by her husband, Jarrett Edward Jackson, step-daughter, Stephanie K. Jackson, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend sincere thanks and gratitude for all the care Unity Hospice rendered to Becky during her time at home on hospice care. Kacey Shaddy, Kristi Hayes, Cherie Luffman, Macy Hayes, Carly Estes, Doug Ead, and Dr. Busby made her last days at home comfortable up until her passing. For that we are very grateful and appreciative.
Visitation will be held at Loretto Memorial Chapel on Saturday, December 30 from 10:30-12:30.
A graveside service conducted at 1:00 pm by James Smith will follow visitation at the John Lay Cemetery in Ethridge, TN. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
The family asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or your local school libraries.
