Elbert Franklin Johnson – Obituary

Elbert Franklin Johnson, age 70, of Sheffield, died Monday, March 18, 2013. His family will receive friends Wednesday, 6-9 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. His funeral service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Robert Gilchrist and Brother Marshall Anderson officiating.

Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.

Mr. Johnson was a native of Franklin County and was retired from Hon Furniture after sixteen years of service. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather. He was married to the love of his life for 50 wonderful years. Mr. Johnson preached the gospel of Jesus for many years and helped many people during his journey through life.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Johnson, of Sheffield; sons, Ron Johnson, of Sheffield, and Randy Johnson and wife, Holly, of Killen; daughter, Marilyn Seitz and husband, Eugene, of Sheffield; sister, Arnell Bratcher, of Littleville; grandchildren, Daniel Seitz and wife, Amber, Angelica Seitz, Debra Seitz McWilliams and husband, Shawn, Randy Johnson Jr., Heather Brown, Chris Anstine; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Eugene Seitz, Daniel Seitz, Shawn McWilliams, Larry Duvall, Andy Johnson and G. W. Sims.
