Funeral services for Elaine Dixon, 72 of Walnut are set for Friday, February 25, 2022 at 2pm at Bethlehem Baptist Church with interment in MT. Pleasant Methodist Church Cemetery. Bro. Trent Nethery will officiate the service. Visitation will be Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 5pm-9pm and Friday, February 25, 2022 from 12pm -2pm at Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Elaine was born August 12, 1949 in Brownsfield, MS., she passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at her home. Elaine was a retired teacher for the Alcorn County School system. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Elaine is survived by her husband of 55 years, Donnie Dixon; daughter, Dawn Dixon (Tony Franks); 2 grandchildren, Destiny Ozbirn (Jordan Sloan) and Channing Ozbirn; sisters-in-law: Sonia Barnes and Judy Fiveash (J.L.); niece, Anecia Miles; other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her father, W. L. Mathis; mother, Retha Flake Mathis and a niece, Kim Shear. Magnolia Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Elaine Dixon.
