Elaine Blount, 81, Florence, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, April 22, 2024. Visitation will be Saturday, April 27, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Greg Woodall officiating. Interment will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens, Tuscumbia.
Elaine had many friends and was loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband Jackie L. Blount; parents, Horace and Loretta Sartain; and sister, Betty Jo McCollum.
She is survived by her children, Denise Yocom (Ray), Rebecca Myrick (Neal), and Katrina Landers (Anthony); brother, Veron Horace Sartain (Sandra); sister, Barbara Jane Pennington; grandchildren, Falin Stemen, Ryan Landers, Allison Thompson, Emily McDougal, Kendrea Trexler, Jonathan Tennyson, and Mariah Purdy; great-grandchildren, Jackson Purdy, Elle McDougal, CeCe Thompson, Asher Cruz Trexler, and Ashlyn, Bryson, Luke, and Caden Stemen; dear friend, Wayne McClendon; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons, Ryan Landers, Jonathan Tennyson, Luke Stemen, Bryson Stemen, Caden Stemen, and Chris McDougal.
The family would like to offer thanks to Alabama Hospice of the Shoals, especially Michelle Adams.
