Visitation will be from 11 AM until time of service on Sunday at Ripley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Dumas Cemetery.

Born February 5, 1941, in Dumas, MS, Mrs. Lenell was the daughter of the late Hubert Holliday and Alma Lee Burton Holliday. She received her education from Dumas School and after spending some time in Florida, she resided back to the Dumas Community where she was a homemaker all of her life. Her door was always open, and a home cooked meal offered to anyone and everyone, Mrs. Lenell lived her life devoted to her children and family, as she always provided for her children and cared for her family in time of need.

A Christian and Proverbs 31 Lady, Mrs. Lenell’s faithfulness and devotion to God was first and foremost in her life. She was a devoted member of Dumas Community Church, who was very involved and always gave effortlessly when the attendance was few to assure that the doors could continue to stay open. Some of her favorite pastimes included tending to her beautiful flower garden and various exotic plants, being outside, working in the yard, and spending time with her precious grandchildren and children. Mrs. Lenell was the backbone of her family, always pulling them together and loving each and every one of them. Through her strength, love, and courage, she made the world better for so many, and she had a gift for making everyone feel so special. We aspire to be the woman she was and are forever blessed to have had such a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Those left to cherish her memories include two daughters, Cynthia Englund, and Kristle Holliday, one son, William Holliday, one brother, Wayne Holliday, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is also preceded in death by one daughter, Tina Lynette Chaya, one sister, Shirley Mize, and three brothers, Robert Holliday, James Holliday, and Dale Holliday
