Edwin L. Hicks 88, of Huntsville passed away on Saturday May 31, 2014. Mr. Hicks is a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, and a retiree of NASA. During retirement, he enjoyed line dancing at the senior center and square dancing. He loved spending much of his free time with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his 2 daughters Sandra Frank and Donna Goltzer.
He is survived by his wife Blanka Hicks, Children; Michael Hicks, Robert Nelson, Richard Nelson, and Tammy (Glenn) Talley, Grandchildren; Rachel Keniston, Jennifer Moore, Derek Nelson, Amanda Frank, Lynette Goltzer, and Jordan Arndt; sister Joyce Kelly, 5 great grandchildren, and 4 nieces.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 4, 2014 from 6pm until 8pm at Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville. Service will be held on Thursday June 5, 2014 at 11am in the Spry Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
