Mr. Edwin Jerold (Jerry) Forwood, age 79, of Madison AL, formerly of Vevay, IN, entered this life on November 26, 1942, in Madison, IN. He was the loving son of the late Harold Edwin and Leo Margaret (Osborn) Forwood. Jerry graduated Vevay High School, 1960 and attended Ball State University. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Elizabeth Vance, on December 27, 1960 in Vevay, IN. His working career started on the family dairy farm and geological surveying, and as a salesman. Jerry became an architectural draftsman and Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD) serving communities in Cincinnati, OH; Rapid City, SD; Colorado Springs, and Denver,CO. He became award winning CKD in 1985 with one of his many designs. He took this to the manufacturing side working for international cabinet companies, traveling the world. Jerry was community minded working with the Civil Air Portal in Indiana and Ohio; Masons & Shriner in South Dakota; and AMBUCS in Huntsville, AL. In his free time, he traveled his local areas and the western US loving hunting, fishing and photography. He was additionally a Ham radio operator, Goldwing motorcycle rider, and woodworker. Jerry passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 9th, 2021at 2:35pm.
Jerry will be missed by his wife of 62 years; son, Mike Forwood and his wife, Kirsten Eddy and grandson, Riley Forwood of Fitchburg, MA; his daughter, Tameria Forwood-Tubell and her husband, Wallace Tubell Jr. of Madison, AL, and granddaughter, Alexandra Tubell of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by his niece Debra (Forwood) Weir and her husband, Jeff Weir of Commiskey, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Edwin Forwood, died Sept. 5, 1991 and Leo Margaret (Osborn) Forwood, died Dec. 19, 1999; and his brother, Garry W. Forwood, died Nov. 15, 2019.
