Edward Olen Tucker, 78, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at his residence. A Celebration of Life Service is set for Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 2pm at Hatchie Chapel Church in Theo with Bro. Ronnie Mercer and Bro. Robert Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at McPeters Funeral Directors from 5pm until 8pm and from 1pm until service time at the church on Thursday.
Edward was born September 28, 1946 in Carbon Hill, AL to the late Olen and Jessie Killingsworth Tucker. He was a Corinth city police officer and an EMT for MRHC. He worked for Universal Studios driving a truck, operating a tram and catering to the celebrities. He started his own company that provided classic and exotic cars for hundreds of television shows and movies. Edward retired as a teamster and moved back to Corinth in 2019. He was an avid Los Angeles Dodgers baseball fan. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Mr. Tucker is preceded in death by his parents; and two siblings, Jimmy Sue Mercer and Junior Wilbanks.
Mr. Tucker is survived by wife, Sheila Tucker; children, Brienne Bullock (Aaron), Alyssa Tucker, Eddie Tucker (Belinda), Mike Tucker (LeAnn), and Johnny Tucker; grandchildren, A.J. Nicholas, Melissa Bullock, Tucker Fox, Analiese Wood, Kayleigh Bode (Andrew), Billy Tucker (Jenni), Chris Tucker (Marlaina), Tessa Brown (Brandon), Addi Jo Tucker, and Derrick Tucker; sisters, Betty Crum, Sandra Harvell, and Olendia Bell (Terry); six great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
The family has entrusted the care for the arrangements to the staff of McPeters Funeral Directors.
