Funeral Service for Edward Morris Carr, 83, will be Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 4:00 PM at New Friendship Baptist Church in Somerville, Alabama with Bro. Tommy Smothers officiating. Burial will be in the New Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery following the service.
Mr. Carr passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024 in Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born September 16, 1940 in Morgan County, Alabama to John Thomas and Ava Morris Carr. Mr. Carr was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church, and loved the Lord and his family very much. After retirement, he loved to work in his garden; watch the news; and Auburn Football and Basketball.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Marla Glennell Carr Lang.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Lillian Glennell “Nell” Carr; daughter, Karen Carr; grandsons, David Austin and Jordan Jeffrey Lang; great-grandchildren, Emery, McKinley, Mary Catherine, and Ezra Lang.
