Funeral services for Edward Moore, age 70 of Lineville, will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 2:00 P.M at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with David Rozelle officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Poplar Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Moore was born in Talladega but had lived most of his life in Clay County. He was known as a hard worker but also a simple man and spent much of his life as a pulpwooder. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Moore is survived by his sons Randy Moore and Adam Moore both of Lineville; his grandchildren, Dustin Moore, Cody Moore, Chloe Moore, Wesley Harvell, and Madlynn Moore; his sisters, Earline Tillery and Betty Wheller both of Talladega.
He was preceded in death by his parents Rudolph Moore and Jewell Waites Moore, his wife Patricia M. “Pat” Moore, two sisters Linda Finch and Sara Shirey.
Active Pallbearers will be Dustin Moore, Cody Moore, Wesley Harvell, Blake Hogan, Hollis Snider and Tommy Harrell.
His visitation will take place at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville on Wednesday December 27, 2023 from 1:00 P.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M.
