Lynn Wheatley Profile PhotoEdward Lynn Wheatley, 51, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at his home. A sunset graveside service will be at 6:30 PM on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Red Hill Cemetery with Eric and Derrick Knight officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Born on October 10, 1972 to the late Charles and Eunice Osborne Wheatley, Edward loved fishing when he wasn’t finishing concrete or fighting with his brothers. Being the middle of nine boys, his mom had her hands full raising her family on Cedar Creek in Russellville, Tennessee. Known to be willing to give you the shirt off his back, Edward loved people and helping anyone in need. His favorite quote was ” I loved the Lord long before I got cancer.”

Survivors include his wife of 9 months, Roseann Knight-Wheatley; son, Zack Wheatley; step-son, Hagen (Amberly) Knight; grandchildren, Brayleigh and Aubbie; brothers, Richard “Hoss” (Reba) Hillman, Charles “Pumkin” Hillman, Jimmy Lee Wheatley, and Aaron “Boo” (Ashley) Wheatley; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and extended family.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, George and Kathleen Osborne, and Charles and Blanche Wheatley; brothers, Robert Hillman, Gary Hillman, Lance Wheatley, and Michael Tipton.

Pallbearers will be Hagen Knight, Charles “Pumkin” Hillman, Eric Knight, Derrick Knight, Wheeler Knight, and Kenny Fagan.

The family extends special thanks to Heart N Soul Hospice in Nashville, Marsha Thrasher, Pumkin Hillman, and Vicki Layfield for their wonderful care and help with Edward.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heart N Soul Hospice, Nashville.
