Edward (Ed) Whitfield Doggett, 70, died April 22, 2015. He was a graduate of the University of Alabama and Jones School of Law, practicing law in Florence for 39 years.
Survivors include wife, Paula Grissette Doggett; daughters, Katherine Doggett, Melissa (Mikah) Hudson, all of Birmingham, Alabama, and Jennifer (Steven) Gervais, of Owens Crossroads, Alabama; and grandchildren, Emmalynne, Eleanora, and Miriam Hudson and Violet and Cameron Gervais. He is also survived by a brother, Aubrey C. (Katherine) Doggett, of Houston, Texas, and several cousins.
Visitation will be May 8, 2015, from 11 a.m. to noon at Florence First United Methodist Church with a celebration of life service following. Reverend Mikah Hudson and Robert Sparkman will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, Alabama Public Radio, or your favorite charity.
