Funeral service for Edward “Ed” Prater, 86, will be Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Sanford and Rev. Billy Jackson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery in Lawrence Co.. Visitation will be Friday, October 2, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Prater died on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at his residence. He was born August 29, 1929, in Lawrence County to James Kelso Prater and Gertrude Anna Eddy Prater. Mr. Prater was employed at Fruehauf prior to his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents.
