Edward E. Fitzgerald was born on Sept. 28, 1935 and went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 21, 2019.
He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Dora, where he served on the Building Steering Committee and as former church Trustee also on many other committees. He was retired as Region Manager from Golden Flake after 44 years. He also worked as a Sales Representative for Milo’s Tea for 5 ½ years. He was an avid bass fisherman.
Funeral services will be Saturday Nov. 23, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Bethel Baptist Church. Rev. John Foles will officiate. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 12-2 pm at the church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Fitzgerald, mother, Vera Mae Kerns, brother, Bill Fitzgerald, special fishing buddy and brother, Larry Uptain and stepson, Danny McCreless.
Survivors include his wife Susan Fitzgerald; daughter and son in law, Kristy (Tommy) McCoy; very special grandsons, Jake McCoy (Jada) and Josh McCoy; special daughter, Sherry McCoy; sisters, Mary Uptain and Sondra Ross (Neil); brothers, Jim (Donna) and Jon(Nancy) Fitzgerald; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, Bethel Church family and many, many friends.
