Mr. Edward Alton “Eddie” Frederick, age 63, departed this life on Friday, March 8, 2024 from the Sanctuary Hospice House after an 11 year battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. He was born in Tupelo on October 26, 1960 to Alton Venard Frederick and Shirley Ann Barnes Frederick. He graduated from Shannon High School in 1979, attended ICC, and later obtained his Bachelor of Business Degree from the University of Mississippi. Eddie married the love of his life, Deborah Lynn Morgan Frederick, on December 12, 1987. He worked as Procurement Manager at Super Sagless for many years and later in purchasing at ACCO Brands. Eddie spent many years as an assistant Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts when his son was young. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, and anything and everything Ole Miss, especially football. He was also a competitive bowler, achieving the 600 series award. He was a member of East Heights Baptist Church.
A service celebrating his life will be held at 2PM Wednesday, March 13, 2024 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Nathan Fitts officiating. His son, Forrest Frederick will deliver the eulogy. Visitation will be held from 12 Noon until service time on Wednesday only. Private family only burial will follow in Lee Memorial Park. Eddie is survived by his wife of 36 years and longtime caregiver, Debbie Frederick of Mooreville; son, Forrest Frederick of Dallas, TX; daughter, Dr. Tarrah Frederick of Jackson, TN; mother, Shirley Frederick of Palmetto; sister, Wendy Pound (Chuck) of the Longview Community; father-in-law, Gene Morgan of Mooreville; sister-in-law, Pat Long of Tupelo; and brother-in-law, Randy Morgan (Melba) of Tupelo. He was preceded in death by his father; mother-in-law, JoAnn Morgan; brother-in-law, Jimmy Long; and an infant child.
Pallbearers will be Chris Estes, Larry Holley, Collin McIntyre, Randy Morgan, Chuck Pound, and Kyle Pound.
