A Celebration of Life Service with Masonic Rites for Edsel Elvin Reynolds 95 is set for 12:00 pm noon Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro, Greg Brasher officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow win the Corinth National Cemetery.
Family and Friends Gathering will be from 10:00 am to service time.
Edsel died October 1, 2023 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born in Giles Co. TN. on March 8, 1928 to the late Arthur Newton and Lorene Wray Reynolds. He married Nellie Gurley Reynolds on January 18, 1975.
He was a veteran, having served eight years in the United States Army. He spent a number of years as a private investigator before establishing Reynolds Security Company, which he operated until his retirement. During his retirement years, he was actively involved with his church, Unity Baptist Church in Ramer, TN., where he served diligently on the Maintenance and Grounds Committee, and along with his wife, took on the custodial care of the church’s facilities, which they treated as lovingly as they died their own home. He and Nellie enjoyed camping and square dancing.
Edsel was a Master Mason since 1977; he was a Scottish Rite, 33rd Degree Mason and maintained membership in the Corinth Lodge 116 and Savannah Lodge 102.
His wife of 48 years, Nellie Gurley Reynolds; his children, Sandra Reynolds Craven, Paula Reynolds Lynn, Marjorie Reynolds Dillard, Charles E. Reynolds; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren survives him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three granddaughter and a grandson; sister, Jelene Garner; brother Julues Reynolds
