Edna Ruth Wallace left this world quietly on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 after an extended illness. She had her 78th birthday on April 3, 2016. She was a longtime member of Atlas Church of Christ.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 6, 2016, from 12:00-2:00 P.M. at Atlas Church of Christ. Services will follow in the Auditorium at 2:00 P.M. with Bill Brazier and Miles Stutts officiating. Burial will be in Atlas Cemetery.
Edna was the oldest child born to Oscar and Ruthie Mae Wallace. She was preceded in death by her parents and one baby brother.
Survivors include brothers Jimmy (Martha), O.L. (Ann), Dub (Connie), Billy (Nina), and one sister Barbara.
Edna never had any children of her own but she was a mother and friend to 9 nieces and nephews and 22 great-nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to thank Dr. Gaputis and his staff and Dr. Morris and the sixth floor ECM Palliative Care for the kindness shown to us and Edna.
