Edna Miiller, 96 of Jasper, AL entered her Heavenly home surrounded by her loving family on June 10, 2021.

She was a LPN and worked at Community Hospital and Peoples Hospital.  She was also awarded Alabama’s Nurse of the Year in 1969.  She was a devoted and faithful member to her community and Sixth Avenue Church of Christ.  All who knew Edna Miiller would say she had the kindest heart and most gentle soul of anyone they’ve ever known.  She was loved by so many and will be missed greatly.  Jesus answered, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:43.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel.  Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.  Mike Smothers will officiate.

Mrs. Miiller was preceded in death by her Husband-Bill Miiller; Father-Griffin Johnson; Mother-Vea Johnson; Great Granddaughter-Makenzie Manuel; Daughter-Carolyn Guthrie Thornberry.

She is survived by her Daughter-Brenda Huggins; Stepson-Bill Miiller; Grandchildren-Susan Leann Self, Lisa Manuel, Barry Huggins, Deborah Smothers, Cindy Sanford; 6 Great Grandchildren; 8 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Smothers, Justin Waid and Colt Manuel.
