Edna Mason Clark, born on Nov. 3, 1926, died Sept. 17, 2016, in Sumner, Washington. Edna spent this last year in Washington state with her daughter, Jan, and son-in-law, Dave. She moved to Trinity in 1953 and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church for over 60 years. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian Clark, and her infant son, Harold Haley. Edna has two daughters, Jan Haley Sweeney, of Sumner, Washington, and Carol Miller, of Trinity, Alabama; seven grandchildren, Jesse Cornett, Juli Cornett, Shelly Trobaugh, Michael Hiatt, Anna Scannell, Emily Mruk, and Robbie Sweeney; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Edna especially loved stepdaughters, Debi Walker Gandy and Diane Walker Kanne, and stepdaughter-in-law, Cheri Clark.

She is survived by her sister, Betty McGhee, of Decatur. Edna was loved by everyone who knew her: her neighbors, Trinity Baptist Church family, and even the caregivers at the end of her life. She was a strong woman who loved the Lord. She always started each day in her little pine rocker where she read her Bible.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on her behalf to Trinity Baptist Church library.
