Edna Jane Taylor Coleman “Jane” peacefully passed away in her sleep on January 27, 2023, at the age of 86. She was preceded in death and now reunited with her husband of 26 years, Jerry Coleman, whom she loved dearly and was forever devoted to.

Jane was born on March 4, 1936, in Corinth, Mississippi to Alma and Richard Taylor. She lived most of her life in Ripley, Tennessee where she worked and raised her children. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ripley. In her final years she resided in Bartlett, Tennessee, where she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Being a loving and supportive wife, mother and grandmother was her life’s mission and she executed it with great pride and purpose.

She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Coleman Moton of Bartlett, Tennessee, former son-in-law, Constantine (Tony) Moton of Bartlett, Tennessee and her son and daughter-in-law Steen and Betty Coleman of Colgate, Wisconsin.

Lovingly known as “Mama Jane,” she leaves her grandchildren: Ashley, CJ and Luke Moton of Bartlett, Tennessee; Coleman Moton of Mount Juliet, Tennessee; Aaron Walentoski of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin; Andrea Brucker of Kewaskum, Wisconsin; her great grandchildren Camdyn Underwood of Bartlett, Tennessee; Paisley Moton of Mount Juliet, Tennessee; Ashley & Autumn Walentoski of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin; Dylan, Jack and Marie Brucker of Kewaskum, Wisconsin; her great great grandchildren Mel & Maple Swiskoski of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.

She is survived by one sister, Joyce Clements of Oxford, Mississippi as well as one brother, Richard Taylor, Jr. of Southaven, Mississippi.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Alma and Richard Taylor and four sisters, Jean Johnson, Joan Diette, June Mitchell and Janet Strickland.

A private family graveside service will be held at the family’s request.
