Graveside services for Mrs. Edna Horn McInvale, age 85 of Goodwater, was held on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. with Tony and Christine Combest officiating.

Mrs. McInvale passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020 at her home. Born in Coosa County, she spent most of her life in Clay County. She was a hard working woman who raised four children. She loved her grandkids; each one had their own special nickname. Edna was an active gardener, and picked her own vegetables to cook. She enjoyed running a chainsaw, farming and pulping wood. You always knew how she felt about someone or something because she always meant what she said and said what she meant.

She is survived by three daughters: Eulalah Baird, Bo Baird and Penny McInvale, all of Goodwater; her son, James McInvale (Paula) of Jacksons Gap; her sister, Eulala Seats of Goodwater; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-greatgrandchild; and her adopted daughter, Angela Wilson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Mary Lambert Horn; her husband, Polie McInvale; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Eulalah Baird, Bo Baird, Penny McInvale, James McInvale, Paula McInvale, Michael Baird, Jonny Baird, and Jeremiah Gillum served as pallbearers.

Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville is in charge of the arrangements.
