Edna Ellen “Toots” Wesson, 90, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018, at Diversicare in Amory. She was born July 30, 1927, to Elijah Crockett “Lidge” and Lula Wren Wilburn. She was a beautician and a member of First Baptist Church in Mantachie. She enjoyed traveling and water skiing.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 14, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Dr. John Adams officiating. Burial will be in the Stephens Cemetery.
Survivors include her son, Ronald Wesson (Pam) of Mantachie; her daughter, Melanie Franks (Tim) of Olive Branch; her brother, Jerry Wilburn (Margaret) of Mantachie; seven grandchildren, Cindy Thompson, Rhonda Sargeant, Amy Alaniz, Justin West, Deanna Marty, Ryan Franks, and Claire Thrasher; and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Myrl Wesson; her parents; one brother, Quinten Wilburn; and two sisters, Jettie Pearl Bean and Lavelle “Sis” Hinkle.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
