Edna Dupree, age 87, of Hamilton, AL passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Tupelo Hospital. She was born in Marion County, AL on Friday, January 29, 1926 to Robert and Nora Frederick Cook. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 15, 2013 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Marion County Funeral Home. The service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday,August 16, 2013 at the Marion County Funeral Home Chapel . Burial in Cooper Cemetery. Bro. Edward Puckett will officiate. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar (Todd) Dupree; parents, Robert and Nora Cook; brothers, Bill, Auzie, Stanley, Sonny, and Jimmy Cook; sisters, Anne Mae Emerson and Willie Laijester Branyon. She leaves to cherish her memory, children, Bobby Joe Dupree and wife, Charlotte ,(Hamilton) Billy Hugh Dupree and wife, Betty, (Waco Tx.) Garry Joe Dupree and wife, Melissa (Smithville Ms.) and Malissa Burleson (Hackleburg); 8 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren Siblings: Floyd Cook, Ruby Inman & Ora Gilmore And a host of nieces and nephews. Marion County Funeral Home assisted the family.
