Edna Aleene Hall, age 90, went to her eternal home on Friday, February 27,2015, at Madison Manor Nursing Home.
Aleene was bom on September 11,1924, in Jackson County, AL. She is the daughter of the late Solomon and Maude Hall and was a member of the College Park Church of God for over 50 years. Aleene had a loving and generous heart, raising her three youngest siblings (ages 1,3, and 6) after their mother passed away when Aleene was 22. Great will be her reward for the sacrifices she made for her family.
Aleene was preceded in death by brothers Hershel Hall, Harmon Hall, and Solomon Hall, Jr. and one sister;Irene Wharton.
She leaves loving memories to be cherished by her three sisters, Elizabeth McAllister (and husband – Marty), Opal Crews (and husband – Don), and Wilma Putt (and husband – Paul); one brother, Ray Hall (and wife – Sue); and sister-in-law, Judy Hall.
She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews: Eddie Crews, Lee McAllister, Paula Wharton, Patricia Kelly, Keith Hall, Douglas Hall, Stephen Hall, Debbie Vanderhoef, Jenice Saint, Kim Willard, Chris Hall, and Susan Lindsey.
Visitation will be at the Spry Funeral Home Tuesday from 1:00-2:00, followed by the funeral at 2:00 at Spry. Rev. Paul Putt (brother-in-law) will be officiating. Burial will follow in Gold Cemetery in Jackson Co. AL.
