Edith Wright passed peacefully on Saturday, December 09,2023. She was looking forward to meeting her husband, Ross at those Pearly Gates.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Ross Wright, sister, Elise McCullar (Frank), brother, Hugh Frederick (Carolyn); and parents, Cleburn and Nellie Frederick.
She is survived by her sons, Lance (Wendy) Wright, Eddie (Marion) Wright, daughter, Cyndy Wright Norris; grandchildren, Hunter and Lily Wright; sister, Jane Gann and brother, David (Pam) Frederick and a host of loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Edith was a long-time resident of Hamilton, Alabama, and member of the Hamilton Methodist Church. She took great pride in her years working at Marion County Courthouse.
She was an amazing mother and beloved Meme to Hunter and Lily. She spent her last years in Muscle Shoals as a resident of Brentwood Retirement Community where she thrived and was able to be close to her family.
The family wants to express sincere gratitude to the staff of Brentwood for the love and care they gave her during her last years.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Marion County Funeral Home. A celebration of life memorial services will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel.
