Edith Sallis Pierce, 92, passed in to Heaven on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at North Mississippi Medical Center with h er daughters at her bedside. She was born February 24, 1923 to the late Arnold Clovis Sallis and the late Retha Robison Sallis in Itawamba County. She was a resident of Dogwood Assisted Living in Fulton for the last 3 years. She was a member of East Fulton Baptist Church for more than 60 years. Edith was a devoted mother, always putting her children first in her life. She was a faithful follower of the Lord.
At her request, all funeral services will be private.
Survivors include two Daughters, Carolyn (Glen) Rutledge of Carefree, AZ, Lyn Pierce of Fulton, Grandson, Todd Rutledge of Scottsdale, AZ, Granddaughter, Amy Rutledge of Durango, CO, 5 Great Grandchildren, Sister, Raye Isum of Fulton, Brother, Joseph (Barbara) Sallis of Fulton, sister in law, Ruby Jean LeBlanc of Plano, TX, Nephew, Terry (Judy) LeBlanc, Jr. of Plano, TX, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Pierce, her parents, and a Brother, A.C. Sallis.
