  Edith Pearl MooreEdith Pearl Moore, age 98 of Knoxville, TN, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Fountain City. She was born in Colbert County, Alabama and preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William Moore; parents, Maskle and Dewey Wilson; sisters, Joyce Mintz, and Melba Madry; and brothers, Hershel Wilson, Edsul Wilson, and Leory “Bunk” Wilson.

She loved Jesus, cooking and spending time with family. Her survivors include daughter, Sandy Hampton of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Kim (Rusty) Davis of Ten Mile, TN, and Paige (Corky) Corcoran of Knoxville, TN; 3 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff of Story Point and also Caris Hospice Care for their incredible kindness and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Central Baptist Church – Hearts and Hands Ministry, Fountain City, 5364 N. Broadway St, Knoxville, TN 37918 (865) 688-2421.

The family will receive friends 5-7:00 PM Monday, October 23, 2023, at Stevens Mortuary, Knoxville, TN. Funeral service will begin at 7PM with Rev. Ron Mouser officiating. A graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Colbert Memorial Gardens in Tuscumbia, AL. Cemetery arrangements conducted by Morrison Funeral Home.
