Funeral services for Edith Opal Dyer, age 94, are scheduled for 2 PM, Friday, March 25, 2016 at Sardis Church of Christ. Interment will follow in McBride Cemetery. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of arrangements. Miss Dyer passed away early Wednesday in Decatur County. She was born February 2, 1922 in Sardis to the late John Adam and Artie McBride Dyer. She was a retired employee of I-Appel and a member of Sardis Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Lee Dyer and two sisters, Louise Sanderson and Nellie Huff. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Loretta Hutcherson of Nashville.
