Mrs. Edith Layla Romine, 91, of Rogersville, Alabama died Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home. She was born December 22, 1927 in Lauderdale County, she was a member of Cedar Grove Church of Christ and she was a homemaker.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Cedar Grove Church of Christ (lie-in-state from 1 to 2 p.m.) with Randy Baker and Newell Graham officiating. Burial in Civitan Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Spry Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jason Barksdale, Ben Romine, Daniel Romine, Justin Romine, Jay Graham and Adam Long.
Survivors are son, Bryce B. Romine and wife, Frances of Rogersville; grandchildren, Bryan Romine and wife, Karen of Rogersville, Kristy Barksdale and husband, Jereld of Rogersville; great-grandchildren, Ben Romine, Daniel Romine, Jason Barksdale and Kassidy Barksdale; brothers, Orlan Graham of Rogersville and Mahlon Graham of Rogersville; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by Husband, Clifton Romine; sister, Lucille Richardson; half-brothers, John David Graham and Harry Graham; and half-sister, Mary Moore.
