Edith “Edie” Lynn Jones, 65, a Street, Maryland native and Morrison, TN resident died Wednesday, August 05, 2020, at her home surrounded by her loving family after an extended illness. She was born in January 09, 1955 to Samuel Bradford Foard, Jr. and the late Dorothy A. (Amos) Foard. In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of forty-five years R. Stephen Jones, daughters Melissa Milligan (Darren) of Newbern, TN and Jennifer Jones (Thad) of Cookeville, TN, three sisters Constance Richardson of Street, MD, Carol Miller of Ellicott City, MD, and Kristine Hopkins of Street, MD, and her beloved grandchildren and step-grandchildren Brian Milligan, Blake Milligan, Preston Milligan, Stephen Milligan, Colton Milligan, Julian Surles, Alexis Surles, and Keely Surles.
Edie was a “FarmHer” all of her life. She worked side-by-side with her husband for forty-five years milking cows and raising beef cattle. She was active in FFA and 4-H in her youth. She also volunteered with the local 4-H group as an adult. She was an avid horse enthusiast. She was an endurance rider and a member of the AERC. She completed over 500 miles of competition. She also enjoyed traveling and horseback riding across the United States and Canada with her friends and family. Edie was a member of Morrison United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 07, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at McMinnville Funeral Home. Social distancing will be observed. Burial will be on Monday, August 10, 2020 at the cemetery of Emory United Methodist Church in Street, Maryland.
