Edgar Thomas Hare, 74, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was born March 11, 1943 to the late Guy Hare and the late Loredies Strange Hare in Marietta. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. He enjoyed riding horses, hunting, fishing, woodworking, and being outdoors.
Services will be at 2:00 pm on Friday March 24, 2017 at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Rex Wilburn, Bro. Brian Gordon, and Bro. Don Darling officiating. Burial will be in White Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday March 23 at Senter Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Shelby Hare of Etta, Daughter, Jackie (Richard) Jones of Tremont, Son, Chris (Kristy) Hare of Pontotoc, step sons, Tommy Bishop of Etta, Kris (Jennifer) Bishop of Springville, AL, Grandchildren, Michael Jones of Tremont, Zac Hare of Pontotoc, Seth Hare of Pontotoc, Holly Jones of Tremont, Morgan Bishop of Oxford, Hanna Bishop of Springville, AL, step grandchildren, Evan Bridges of Pontotoc, and Brenna-Kate Keys of Pontotoc.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son, Edgar T. Hare, Jr., 2 Brothers, Bobby B. Hare, Guy Hare, Jr., and a Sister, Ruby Faye Steele.
Pallbearers will be Michael Jones, Zac Hare, Steve Steele, and Mike Steele.
The Men’s Breakfast Club will be Honorary pallbearers.
