Edgar R. Beck, 84, of Madison, passed away Monday. Mr. Beck was a decorated veteran of the Korean War, having received two Bronze Stars. He graduated from the University of Richmond with a BS in Business and Chemistry, with post-graduate work in business at the University of Louisville. He worked the majority of his life as a Corporate Finance Controller, finishing his career as a bank officer. Mr. Beck was a devoted member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Carolyn Beck; son, Eric Beck and wife, Tracy of Huntsville; daughter, Carol Beck of Atlanta, GA; and granddaughter, Carrie Beck.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The service will immediately follow in the chapel with Greg Chandler officiating. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
