Eddy Wayne Finney, 85, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born June 22, 1939 to Ollie Lee Finney and Maudie Irene Simmons Finney. He was a member of Endville Baptist Church. He was an accomplished guitar player, enjoyed playing the piano, and as a musician he appreciated all of Elvis Presley’s music. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed going to see his wife often since she has lived at Sunshine Healthcare since 2023.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Finney of Belden; 4 children, Sharon Finney Albright (Steve) of Tupelo, Curtis Finney of Belden, James Finney of Belden, and Carey Finney (Tanya) of Tupelo; five grandchildren, Cassey Roberts, Joshua Finney, Andrew Finney, Emily Finney, and Gavin Gann; two great grandchildren, Mason Finney and Ashton Finney; two brothers, Ezra Finney and Paul Finney (Bonnie); one sister, Doris Ryan (Roy); and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Alvis Finney; and two sisters, Imogene Finney and Barbara Deaton.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Lee Memorial Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 am Friday, October 18, 2024 at Lee Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Murray Galloway officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
