Eddie Charles Perry, age 75 of Tullahoma, passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Vanderbilt-Harton Medical Center. He was born on March 19, 1946 in Decherd to the late Jerry and Pauline (Henley) Perry. Eddie was a Corporal in the United States Marines earning the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, and Rifle Sharpshooter Badge. He served as the minister of Calvary Baptist Church in Sylacauga, Alabama for twenty-five years. An avid outdoorsman, Eddie enjoyed playing golf, mowing, operating heavy equipment, and building projects. He also loved listening to southern gospel and bluegrass music and watching Sunlife Broadcasting. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rita Jay Perry. Eddie is survived by his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Sherrie Perry of Tullahoma; children, Darrin Perry of Tullahoma, and Jacintha (Chris) Hay of Sylacauga, Alabama; grandchildren, Tori Beth Perry, Britton Perry, and Brylane, Brielle, and Allaster Hay; siblings, Betty (Billy) Oliver of Decherd, Leon (Gennie) Perry of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and Deta (Tommy) Pendergraff of Estill Springs; four-legged best friend, Walker; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be from 1-3 pm on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel.
