Edward Ernest Weckwert Ed Weckwert was born on February 18, 1939, in Detroit, MI to Edward and Lucille Weckwert.  He died in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on April 14, 2024, after a brief illness. Ed attended Pershing High School, Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky and worked as a teacher in the Warren Consolidated School District for nearly 35 years.

Most important to Ed was his family. Survived by wife of 60 years, Ann Mizga Weckwert, son Ed Weckwert (Kristy), daughter Kristin Wells Morrison (Shawn), grandkids Ethan Weckwert, Jake Wells, Riley Weckwert, and Jeb Wells. He also loved his grand dogs Bailey and Maple.

We thank him for being a son, husband, father, teacher, coach, cheerleader, and best man. May he get the rest he has earned.

No public service will be held at this time, and Ed has chosen to share eternity at his beloved lake house in Michigan, and on his son’s property in Kentucky.

Memorials may be sent in Ed’s name in support of local youth swimming programs
