Mrs. Easter B. Adams
April 20, 1924 – December 27, 2024
“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.” — Proverbs 31: 25-26
Born to the union of John and Pasetta Blackburn in Huntsville, AL, in an area now called Redstone Arsenal, AL, previously known as Pond Beet in 1924, Easter grew up with eleven siblings, five sisters, and six brothers whom she loved dearly.
She worked for years at the Huntsville Hospital until retirement. After retirement she continued to take care of children, training and molding them. Working with children gave her the greatest joy and satisfaction. She believed in the Lord and dedicated herself to family and dear friends. She was a resolute daughter, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a faithful member and worshipped at St. Bartley Primitive Baptist Church.
In 1944 Easter married William Adams, and two children were born to their union, William Adams, Jr. (deceased) and Mary Ann Adams (deceased). She is the proud grandparent of four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Easter was “A SPECIAL LADY,” who worked hard all of her life. Her hobbies included cooking fresh vegetables, feeding others, planting flowers, reading, watching wrestling, working puzzles, watching her favorite church programs, and talking on the telephone.
She loved life and rose with the sun faithfully every morning with her cup of coffee, and toast. As a Centenarian she embraced each new day in her right mind and body!
She leaves to cherish her memory, two granddaughters: Yolanda Y. Dial (Kim Orlando) and Cincerae L. Jackson; two grandsons: Marcus D. Adams (Sharon) and William Christopher Adams (Trina); seven great grandchildren: (Channing Adams, Kimbria Dial, Shanice Adams, Patrick Jackson, Micah Jackson, Kevin Ratliff, and Tevin Ratliff); and one great-great-granddaughter, (Layla Ratliff). She also leaves a loving daughter-in-law, Mrs. Selross Adams. She also leaves a special cousin, Mary Booker, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
