Earnestine Hall Beatty, 88, of Rainsville, Alabama, formerly of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024, at her home. She was born in Oneida, Tennessee, to the late Gilbert Hobert Hall and Effie Owens Hall. She grew up in Sunbright, Tennessee, and after marrying Bobby Lee Beatty on January 15, 1960, in Knoxville, they moved to Georgia. She retired from Atlanta Gas Light Company after 20 years in service. After giving her life to the Lord in May of 1970, she was dedicated to serving God through her local church. She taught a Sunday School class of over 40 members for 30 years at Philadelphia Baptist Church in Lithonia, Georgia. She had a great love of music, singing in the church choir and praise teams for over 50 years.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Centre, Alabama, with Rev. Zac Gardner and Dr. Zach Richards officiating. The burial will follow in Kirk Memorial Gardens in Rainsville. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. hour of service.
She is survived by her beloved son, Keith Beatty, and his wife, Elizabeth; sisters Gerlene Humphreys and Louita McMeans; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby, in April 2022 and siblings Lucille Jeffers, Olene Owens, Lois Hughes, Lavoda French, Junior Hall, Robert Hall, and Calvin Hall, as well as her parents, Gilbert and Effie Hall.
