Earlene Walker Wright, 90 of Joppa, the Hulaco Community, died Friday September 29, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Wright was born October 31, 1926 in Cullman County to George Chessly Walker and Minnie Lee. She was worked as a beautician until her retirement. Her husband James A “Junk” Wright preceded her in death December 23, 2013. She operated the Beauty Box in Arab for ten years and also sold Tupperware. She loved to cook for her family.
She was a member of Hebron Church of Christ.
Mrs. Wright is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law: Danny Wright and Donna and Barry Wright; her grandchildren: Becky Wright Latham and Philip, Beth Wright Sellars and Jeff and Jake Wright and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: James A. “Junk” Wright and her parents: George and Minne Walker.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday October 2, 2017 at Hebron Church of Christ with Brother: Brock Johnson, officiating. Burial will be in Hebron Church of Christ Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Philip Latham, Jeff Sellars, Stanley Burden, Jake Wright, James Gulledge, Dennis Latham and Robert Whisenant.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Sunday October 1, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. She will also lie in state at Hebron Church of Christ from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on October 2, 2017 prior to the service.
