Earlene Townsend Bassham, age 88 of Minor Hill, passed away Tuesday March 4, 2025 at Pulaski NHC.Earlene was born April 11, 1936 in Minor Hill, TN to Earl E. and Annie H. Townsend. She had a love of growing flowers, doing crossword puzzles, and collecting owls, but spending time with her grandchildren was her greatest pleasure. Earlene was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Annie, her husband of 63 yrs. Douglas N. Bassham, brothers Kenneth, Wilburn, Bradford, Ben, Tyson, H.E., and Layfatte, sisters Mable, Pinkie, and Enna B.
Visitation will be 5-8pm Friday March 7, 2025 at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral will be 12pm Saturday March 8, 2025 at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with interment to follow in New Salem Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughter Cindy Emerson (Mack) of Minor Hill, brothers Joe Townsend (Carol) of Anderson, Al, Smitty Townsend of Minor Hill, sister Annie Hendrix (David) of Minor Hill, grandchildren Chase Emerson (Beth), Colby Emerson (Jenny), great grandchildren Cally Emerson and Sawyer Emerson.
