Earlene Segars Chumbley, 95, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Iuka Hospital. She was born in Lee County, MS to Carter and Elvie Payne Segars. She was retired as a factory worker and homemaker. She loved to travel, sew, work in her flowers and spend time with her family. Earlene was a member of Old Path Missionary Baptist Church and attended regularly until her health no longer permitted.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 4, 11 a.m. at Old Path Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Lee Smith, Bro. Michael Brand and Bro. Keith Hood officiating. Burial will be in Old Path Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her family, Joe Chumbley (Martha), Andy Chumbley (Lynn), Mark Chumbley (Patty), Candace Harris (Layne), Kyle Chumbley, Bart Chumbley (Krista), Isaac Chumbley, Emmi and Carter Harris, Maike and Kira Chumbley and Bro. James Segars and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Edward Chumbley and her parents.
Pallbearers will be Layne Harris, Carter Harris, Isaac Chumbley, Bart Chumbley, Kyle Chumbley, Reggie Segars, Darryl Chumbley, Stacy Stepp and Stanley Page.
Visitation will be Friday, February 3, 5-8 p.m. at Old Path Missionary Baptist Church.
