Earl Shelton Mitchell, 91 of Harvest, passed away on Tuesday, October 15th, 2024, at his residence. Mr. Mitchell was born on December 2nd, 1932, in Bonita, Louisiana, to Samuel Mitchell and Lannis Herrington Mitchell.
Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife Patsy Mitchell; daughter Charlotte Kirk, of Harvest; sons Michael Mitchell (Ellen), of Harvest, and Stephen Mitchell (Rachel), of Fayetteville, Arkansas; brothers Harlon Mitchell, of Camden, Arkansas, and Doyle Mitchell (Marilyn), of Tampa, Florida; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Mitchell will be Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024, at 1:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00am-12:45pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Thatch-Mann Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew Kirk, Mason Mitchell, Joe Mitchell, John Mitchell, Lane Crawford, Will Harris, Jeremy Wilcox, and Ryan Eberley.
Mr. Mitchell was a faithful member of Central church of Christ in Rogers, Arkansas. He was a former elder of the church. He also was a minister in the Philippines work. He was retired from 30 years of military “service” in the Marine Corps. (MGYSGT) (E-9). Mr. Mitchell was in the Korean conflict and Vietnam war.
