Earl Rigsby

Mr. Earl Rigsby of Fayetteville, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on Wednesday.  He was 92.

Mr. Rigsby was a Christian and had been a part of the First Baptist Church of Petersburg, Tennessee and then Bevill’s Chapel Baptist Church in Hazel Green.

Mr. Earl loved gospel music, going with his sisters to gospel singings, and enjoyed the Atlanta Braves.  He was also an avid Little Debbie customer and loved Honey Buns.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Talley Rigsby; his parents, Roy & Annie Rigsby;  his two brothers, Johnny Mac Rigsby and Jimmy Doc Rigsby;  his brothers-in-law, Ray Pearman, Charles Weaver, James Cash, Richard Shook, Jimmy Freeman, and Charles Gaye.

Surviving family members include his daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa (Danny) Campbell, Rhonda (Ron) Maples, Brenda (Rick) Mann, Glenda (Chuck) Hill, and Sherri Strange;  his grandchildren: Amber Worsham, Matthew Worsham, Taylor Adcock, Tessa Dickerson, Casey Horton, Tucker Campbell, Johnathon Yose and Blake Yose.

His sisters: Louise Pearman, Betty Weaver, Doris Cash, Faye Shook, Peggy Freeman, and Nancy Gaye.

He is also survived by several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday beginning at 12PM at Bevill’s Chapel Baptist Church.   Funeral services will follow at 2PM at the church with Pastor Benny Berry officiating.  Burial will then be in Bevill’s Cemetery.

Pallbearers for the service will be Kane Rigsby, Michael Shook, Branden Hargrave, Kyle Adcock, Nick Horton, Cody Dickerson, Tucker Campell, and Matt Worsham.

Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
