Earl Murphy – Obituary

Earl Murphy was born January 7, 1947 in Selmer, Tennessee the son of the late William (Pete) Cletus and Rena Louise McMahan Murphy.

He was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Tice on September 8, 1985.

Mr. Murphy was a retired plumber. He was a member of the Christ Church in Bartlett, Tennessee. He enjoyed gardening, watching Nascar and a fan of the Tennessee Volunteers.

Mr. Murphy departed this life on August 13, 2014 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 67 Years, 7 Months, 6 Days. He is survived by his wife Barbara Murphy of Memphis, TN; a daughter, Regina Tacker and husband Rick of Cleveland, TN; a son, Rich Wilson of Cypress, TX; two sisters, Elizabeth Ann Younger of Corinth, MS, Charlotte Shannon and husband Dale of Selmer, TN; 10 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren; and a host of nieces and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Murphy was preceded in death by three daughters, Tina Murphy, Cynthia Murphy, Sherry Bowes; daughter-in-law, Patricia Ann Wilson.
