Earl “JR” Roberson – Obituary

Funeral service for Earl “JR” Roberson, 79, of Hartselle will be Wednesday April 12, 2017 at 1:00PM at Peck Funeral Home with Dr. Shane Lewis officiating. Burial will be at Hartselle Memory Garden. Visitation will be Tuesday April 11, 2017 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Roberson passed peacefully from this life surrounded by loving family on April 8, 2017. He was born June 19, 1937 in Morgan County to Earl and Ruby Roberson. Mr. Roberson was a 1955 graduate of Morgan County High School. Mr. Roberson worked for a number of years at NAPA Auto Parts in Hartselle and later retired from Metco/Sonoco Corporation in 2005 after 35 years. He enjoyed gardening and playing guitar. He loved his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, the beach and country Morris. Mr. Roberson also enjoyed playing horseshoes and grilling for his family. Mr. Roberson was loyal Alabama Fan. He was a member of the Flint Rescue Squad for over 15 years. Mr. Roberson was a member of Somerville Baptist Church. Mr. Roberson was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Tony Roberson; one sister, Ann Weaver; one grandchild, Alana Roberson.

Colter, Allie, Ilana, Bella and Adie

Two Brothers:
Rayburn Roberson (Ann) of Hopzehah, GA
Dennis Roberson (Carolyn) of Flint, AL

One Sister:
Helen Boger (JC) of Hartselle

Pallbearers will be Danny Goodner, David Prater, Chris Martin, Kyle Roberson, Jonathan Moore and Colter Moore.
