Earl Alvin Allison – Obituary

Earl Alvin Allison, 83, of Florence, passed away March 30, 2016 at his residence. He was a member of Valley View House of Prayer. What a special kind person our dad was. His dedication to his faith, family, and friends was given with total conviction and compassion. Oh, how he will be missed!

Visitation will be Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 12-2 p.m. at Valley View House of Prayer. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. with Larry Burbank and Gerry Dubois officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Church of Christ Cemetery.

Mr. Allison was preceded in death by his wife, Darnell Burbank Allison; sons, Jerry Len, and Donald Rickey Allison; brothers, Andy, Raymond, Hoover, Turner, Melvin, and Louis; sisters, Jewell and Earline Woods, Mae Smith, and Carrie Poole.

He is survived by his son, Steve Allison (Juanita); daughter, Rose White (Jimmy); sister, Estelle Woods; grandchildren, Alison Cook (George), Adam Allison, Preston Allison (Heather); great-grandchildren, Georgia Cook, Cole, Katie, Bryant, and Lucas Allison.

Active pallbearers will be, Adam Allison, Preston Allison, George Cook, Rayburn Allison, David Angel, and Freddie Fell.

Honorary pallbearers will be brothers-in-law, nephews, and church brothers.

Special thanks to Gentiva Hospice caregivers, Holly, Kana, and Kyle.
